This customized four wheel steer scissors lift allowed aircraft maintenance to drive up to the aircraft and travel completely around the aircraft without changing platform orientation. The lateral steering mode turns all four wheels 90 degrees, allowing the lift to drive sideways. This specialized lift greatly increases mobility and facilitates precise access to confined areas allowing the lift to be driven from the control station mounted in the platform, at the full raised height.
