Pneumatic Personnel Lift Basket

Maintenance personnel working on widebody aircraft had a dilemma: they needed to reach the center beam area of planes and the scaffolding they were using had to be assembled and disassembled after doing routine maintenance, only to be assembled again in a different area. LPI, Inc. designed a pneumatic version of their Navi-Gator™ single person driveable lift. The roll-out extension of the basket allows the operator to move close to their work but at the same time not damage the product. The lift is pneumatic/hydraulic powered which makes it inherently safe in the entire hangar. The addition of the hose reel trailer allows for connection to air supplies in the floor. Working time for each unit was cut in half with the addition of this lift, and at the same time operator safety was increased because climbing was eliminated.
